About the Role

GoHardin is looking to grow and is looking for an office admin/bookkeeper to join the team. The role would be to assist with general office tasks including answering phones, scanning documents,and light accounting/bookkeeping tasks.

GoHardin is a boutique tax firm that specializes in helping entrepreneurs navigate tax and compliance matters easily. We see ourselves as a part of our clients’ remote team and look for ways to not only save money on taxes but help our clients build their dream! We want to hire someone who is good at communicating, organized, and is willing to help wherever possible. In return, GoHardin will provide opportunities for raises/bonuses and this role is ideal for someone who needs a flexible schedule.

Requirements

Essential Duties 

  • Onboard clients to our client management system (via Canopy Tax) 


  • Run various errands (Post office, pick up supplies) 


  • Answer telephones including assisting clients with IT-related questions 


  • File Texas franchise reports (training available) 


  • Scan data and file management 


  • Manage client monthly bookkeeping tasks in QBO 


  • Light office cleaning and restocking of kitchen 



Required Experience

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word

  • Proficient in Gmail & Google Drive 

  • Experience using Slack

  • Be organized and good at following up to make sure tasks are completed 

  • Extremely detail oriented 

  • Comfortable communicating with clients in-person 

  • Be able to come into the office at least once a week and more if required during tax season

Work Availability 

  • Must be regularly available and willing to work 10 am - 3 pm Monday - Thursday. For the right candidate - hours can be adjusted. 

  • Must be able to come into the office located in Round Rock when required
